Baby Alpaca is one of the most luxurious fabrics in the world. It is incredibly warm, light weight and strong. It has hypoallergenic properties, it contains no lanolin, which makes the fibre safe to wear if you have skin allergies. Alpaca is said to be three times warmer than sheep wool, the fibres have excellent insulation properties whilst remaining light and breathable. Merino fibre is extremely fine, it has natural elasticity which helps a merino garment stretch yet return back to its original shape. 

Merino wool has a wide range of good properties. The wool is temperature regulating. This means that the wool retains body heat in cold weather, and gives off heat when the skin needs to be kept cool in hot weather.

Each skein is hand dyed, they are each unique regardless of being the same colourway and name. Colours can vary between batches and we recommend you purchase enough yarn for your project to ensure consistency.
